WINLOG32 is a practical tool designed to store and organize radio communication logs in order to track your activity. The program is built for the amateur radio users who need a software solution for storing details about every conversation.
Amateur or ham radio enthusiasts use a special range of frequencies in order to communicate with each other and send messages across large distances. Thus, the radio amateurs can exchange messages with a large community by using a specially designed station.
Since this communication can involve users from multiple locations, the radio users need to keep track of their activity in order to be able to contact the persons with shared interests. This program allows you to store detailed information about each transmission in a local database.
When you run the application for the first time, you will be prompted to setup your database and create a log which is essential for recording your activity. You can begin to store details in the database by entering the callsign, frequency, mode in the main window.
If you have used other applications to record your communication details, this program is able to easily import data from ADIF (Amateur Data Interchange Format Specifications) logs. You can also export the details from the current log to an ADIF or plain text file.
When you want to find a certain callsign or location, the app allows you to define multiple criteria in the main window. The search is automatic and all the matching entries are displayed as soon as you enter your criteria.
Additional resources include lists of prefixes, QSO databases and location tools that radio amateurs can use in their activity. Moreover, you can record the audio, make notes and calculate the WW locator for any set of geographical coordinates.
